Caitlin C. Whitaker is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Her research interests include community engagement, archaeological heritage management, sustainable tourism development, cultural heritage studies, participatory mapping, and GIS applications to social questions. With APSAP, Caitlin is collaborating with the National Gallery of Armenia to develop a children’s educational workshop that exposes young Armenians to the scientific field methods of archaeology as well as the conservation and exhibition that takes place after the field. In her free time, she enjoys playing nerdy board games and listening to podcasts like 99% Invisible.
